jbmossberg bolt action = raptor arms?
I saw a mossberg bolt action today at gander mountain. It appeared to be identical to a raptor arms rifle I bought a few years ago.Does anyone know if they are the same or not?

jeffeossodon't know either way, but that's certainly interesting...
raptor stocks were on ebay about 6 years ago, for 10 bucks each... them, bedding compound, and spraypaint made a number of functionable stocks for me.
I only have 1 plastic fantastic stocked rifle left, fwiw

Not exactly the same, but similar enough for the comparison.
Complete article is in the recent (Oct? Nov?) American Rifleman.

Tex21Read the write up in the NRA mag and liked what they had to say. It seems Mossberg bought a bunch of the old tooling from Raptor (who folded up shop...) and tweaked their design a bit to create they're new ATR. One thing that I liked the most was the fact that Mossberg changed the receiver from a casting to a machined forging.
Overall, I think the ATR *aught* to be a good value for the price. If I were in need of either caliber its offered in, I would definitely try one out.
