What is the SAFE pressure "limit" on the Remington RB with 45-70 chambering?
Trap Door 18,000
Contender 28,000
Less, more?

Don't limit your challenges . . .
Challenge your limits

There was a discussion of this a few weeks back on one of the forums at assra.com. The later 1902 or No. 5 action was made for various early smokeless cartridges like .30-40, 7x57, 8mm Lebel, etc.

Even with my new Lone Star Rifle RB ,I wouldn't want to exceed 28,000.But you can do a lot with that pressure ! If you want to hot load a 45-70 get a Ruger #! of Browning 1885.

When you fire higher pressure loads 7x57 ect. a rolling block will flex enough to bend the case. It's your face behind the breech.
Good Luck!
