Oversized grip panels for Colt SAA? I'll fit them myself, but they must be oversized so I can get the fit I'm looking for. Anyone know where I can get them?

No personal experience, but this turned up in a casual search:

I've seen their products, repro grips and butt plates; I'll continue to look further

Well I just had a walnut tree fall on my house last week (fortunately only thing broken was a window) so if you decide to make your own I have plenty of wood here for you!

Do you want to start from scratch or a fitted to the frame blank ?? Knife suppliers have things like stabilized wood with nice grain and you pick the one you like . Alphaknifesupply.com

I have bought them from Collins Craft, but that was a few years ago. They sell a kit that is oversize and unfinished.

Looks like they still offer them.

Thanks for the ideas. I called Houge today and their custom shop is sending me oversized blanks. I can't put the time into this job to make them from scratch.
