I was talking to a friend of mine this afternoon about the new winchesters coming out this fall. He has a pre 64 featherweight in 270 he was going to sell last spring, but never got around to it. So now that the "winchester is going out of buisness" frenzy has subsided and prices have been dropping back down. What is the attitude around here about the pre 64? Sell them they are never going to be worth what they were a short while ago? keep it they don't make them like they used to? Keep it they arent worth selling anymore? your thoughts? | ||

Its my opinion that the pre 64's don't cjange alot. At least around here a standard 30-06 in nice shape 10 years ago was worth $1000 and today it will still bring $1000. The question is 10 years down the road. I would suggest if your friend likes having a pre 64, to keep it. If he doesn't really like them sell it. Pre 64's will never be a good investment, at least the common ones. Just my opinion.
