LongshotHave your gunsmith mark the bottom of your barrel with a witness mark. Have your existing muzzle counter bored with a 79 degree reamer about 1.5 inches into the muzzle. Thread the ID .500 X 28tpi about .750 deep. Make the plug .500 long. Threaded plug to fit the ID threads. Drill and ream the plug .020 over the bullet diameter.
Take the barrel and put it in an indexer. Make your desired ports not getting into the threads. In the bottom of the barrel in the threaded part drill and tap a .625 hole. This will be fore the locking set screw. Grind the set screw off so it will be below the surface of the barrel.
Screw the plug in to the desired depth and lock the set screw. You now re instal the barrel and you gave a barrel with a integral muzzle brake.

homebrewerShrewd makes a bunch of them in different outside diameters. Maybe you can get one that is slightly larger than the diameter of your barrel 50mm back from the muzzle, machine a US thread (only way you get 'em) 12mm long, install the brake, then turn the barrel down to match the original diameter of your muzzle. You'll have a very good brake (I use one and they really work) and will have added no length to your rifle. Brownells sells the Shrewd brake; about 60 bucks each. In stainless or white steel...

303GuyMay I suggest a reflex supressor? An overhang of 25mm and an overbarrel chamber of reasonable length should do the trick
and reduce muzzle blast quite a bit. (It's also better for public relations

)
