Years ago I sold a Ruger Security Six 2.750 barreled 357 mag. Well I've missed that little gun. Especially the 2.750 barrel length. What would be the best method to get another one with a 3 Inch finished length? Should I cut and crown a 4 inch barrel? I have this one? Or look for a three inch barrel and install it. If I cut the four inch, I'd have to mill a slot in the rib to replace the sight. What a guy won't go through to get a handgun that had close to the perfect balance!

Either way, but you already have the 4 inch. Milling a slot for the sight is easy.

I looked at gun parts for either a 3 inch or 2 3/4 barrels. They had a 2 3/4 blue barrel when I first looked when I came back after looking for the 3 inch barrel the 2 3/4 was gone. E Bay had a 2 3/4 stainless but at a higher price. I think I'll check with my gunsmith and get it done.
