Acquired a nice 6.5x55 CZ 550 American. Excellent rifle. Wanting to slim it down and one day duplicate it. Has anyone been successful slimming it down in both the areas of the wood around the barrel channel, around the magazine and the pistol grip?

thanks. i also have one in 9.3. will wind up in my little girl's hands one day; 9.3 from one grampy and the 6.5 from the other.

It is wood isn't it do you own a rasp and sand paper.
