Want to be able to remove bolt shroud from one M77 MKII to another one. Two different length actions, one magnum, one short. No problem taking the striker mechanism out of bolt body, but not sure how to remove the shroud itself.
Reason for doing is that one has been color casehardened by Turnbull and want to switch to the M77 MKII RSI recently purchased. Realize the firing pin mechanism is entirely different in overall length, but shroud itself seems to be the same?? If this project is a tough one, perhaps someone could suggest who would accomplish this feat. All help apprecaited.
