anodize removal, how
some time back i believe i read here of a way to easily remove the black anodize from aluminum. it used easily found chemicals. i have a customer who wants l/w talleys but wants them silver. no talley won't sell them that way. i have tried the search but wasn't able to find anything. can anyone give me that info or point me in the right direction.

I seem to remember eazy bake oven cleaner removes anodizing. I know it worked on some anodized street rod parts.

From what I've read, lye will remove anodizing. Read this web site, http://www.focuser.com/atm/anodize/anodize99.html In it he uses lye to remove old anodizing from an aluminum part. If you do use the lye solution to remove the anodizing, make sure you read and heed any saftey warnings.
