This weekend I picked up a good Winchester push feed Model 70 for a couple hundred bucks. It has a synthetic stock with a blind box, sort of like a 700 ADL. I have a nice stock I would like to put it in, but it is for the factory hinged floorplate. Can I buy hinged bottom metal and move on, or do I need to buy a new mag box as well like an ADL to BDL conversion? Thanks in advance. Great deal. I think you will need a mag box; check Numrich.

on all my post-64, push feed m70's, other than length, there is no difference in the mag box, between blind magazines or floorplate models... at least on mine, that is... there is a small "letter" stamp on the box that corresponds to the length.... I have several extra's, if you don't find what you need, measure your cartridge lenght and i may have it... go big or go home ........ DSC-- Life Member NRA--Life member DRSS--9.3x74 r Chapuis
