Hello Guys I have just found (arrrrggggh) that the BM for a VZ-33 action is not quite the same inlet as a "normal" 98 BM (the VZ-33 is shorter by about 3/16ths). The screw spacings and mag box etc are the same, and the BM's interchange on the action ok Are there any other variations folks should know about before they run into the problem I have with a stockmaker doing an inlet with his own action (and obviously a non standard BM !!) Are the alloy FN BM's "standard" ?? Cheers - Foster PS I'll post up a WTT in classifieds to solve my problem

Check the bottom metal on the Sears (Higgins) FN rifles. The metal on the front BM tang is shorter than the military style by about that same amount. The BM is steel in the three I have but I specified the length from center of the front screw to tip to the gent that rough turned them. Sounds like they are similar to me. stocker
