The SHOT Show requires that you be an industry person to attend. Does working at a gunshop count? What proof do I need in order to register as an attendee?

The registration form asks for Name, Company and zip code. What back up documentation do I need?

I emailed the SHOT show, but they haven't answered and then thought that someone here might know.

Easiest way is to go with someone who has an FFL.

Somewhere in the registration chain, whether paper or on-line, you will need either FFL verification, or the tax id number for a non-firearm attendee.
Working for a gunshop ought to make the FFL part easy!
Enjoy the show! Wear comfortable shoes!

Fjold:

I was in the same boat. I have a friend who has a gun shop and they listed me as an "outside" salesperson. No problem.

Wear comfortable shoes and if possible be there on the last day at closing. Often times the vendors do not want to repack their goods and will cut you a good deal on merchandise. Not firearms however. I picked up some flashlights, knives, etc. A friend got a great buy on an aluminum gun case. Just BS a little and say you are a buyer or similar. Bring a tote bag, back pack or similar for the freebies!

Have fun!

you dont need an FFL or holder of one. They are pretty loose online....once your there they are more strict. Before I was in the trade i registered online as a hunting outfitter and my buddies as guides....I'm still getting their renewal packets to this day.
