I recently picked up a beautiful 03A3 that I believe is a Paul Jaeger Custom. The checkering, jeweled actions and other features matches a half dozen rifles I've seen that were identified as his. Is anyone familiar with any marks or clues I can look for to be certain?

A little uncertain about removing it from stock (it's inletted perfectly) but will if someone can convince me there is a marking there. The target barrel only has one marking I can see (30/06 CAL).

Thank you for your time. I hope someone out there is familiar with this gunsmith and can help identify mine.

Paul Jaeger was pretty good about marking his work both from Philadelphia and Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Some close-ups of the rifle and checkering might help others ID your rifle.

I would think he left a mark somewhere. Here are some additional views that might be of help to someone more knowledgable than myself. Thanks again for all your help.
