So my remington model 7 predator came with the typical 7 pound x mark trigger. I have adjusted it down to about 3 lbs and it is still safe, But i find it inconsistent. Sometimes it is around 1 pound and sometimes it feels more like four. Ok so the trigger is junk, now I want to replace it with a timney. The typical timney rem trigger has the bolt release for a 700 action not the model 7. Has any of you made this conversion or is there a trigger replacement with the correct houseing for the model 7 bolt realese.

I just installed a Timney in a Model 7 for a customer. What you have to do is order the Remington 700 trigger that comes without the safety and bolt release and put the safety and bolt release off of your model 7 trigger on the new one.

Sounds easy enough, but I just installed a 510 timney on a rem 700 mountain rifle. The trigger houseing has a slot in it so the 700 bolt realease can ride in it. Does the trigger without the saftey and bolt realease have this cut out also. If it does the bolt realease for the model 7 may or may not fit. What model trigger did you use. Thank you for your help
