I have a older .280 remington ADL with a stainless mtn rifle barrel contour and factory stock that is pretty beat. The rifle strings shots as if there is a bedding problem. I am contemplating trying a Remington BDL Custom KS Mountain Rifle replacement stock. Has anyone had experience with these?

Before you spend all the money on a conversion try a few other things. First make sure the barrel is clean, really clean, no copper fouling. Next check to see if the barrel is floated, bolt handle touching the stock?, stock screws tight, middle screw lightly set, scope rings and bases tight, bad scope? It could be one or all of these. Did it shoot OK before? It can only help to have it bedded correctly. Jim Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Jim: Tried all your suggestions. I just hate to give up on a gun.

With that rather slim barrel contour, I would suspect bedding also. If the stock is really beat up, you might consider the Kevlar option and a good bedding job.
