A friend of mine mentioned a barrel bedding technique whereby you free float the barreland remover extra material from the bottom of the barrel channel. Then you use silicone to bed the barrel. He never mentioned nor did I ask about the action being bedded. If this is a viable method I would like to hear from someone who is experienced with this method and the results.
Thanks

The results from three rifles that had silicone bedding added like this have all been positive. Groups were reduced between 30% and 50%. One rifle was bedded with glass and silicone in one operation from standard and two were glass bedded first and test fired and the silicone added later.

Do you just put a bead so it is just touching the barrel or to you want it part way up the sides. How thick do you want it. Just a skin or more.
