I've never owned a No. 1 but have acquired 2 of them recently and am trying to sell them.
what's a good asking price for a No. 1 that's in pristine shape?? I have one that is a 22-250
that has just impeccable wood and looks like new 24"bbl. The previous owner shot less than 20
rds thru it and it looks it.

I also have a No. 1 30:06 that's been magnaported and has sights
and a barrel band, this one also looks brand new and the wood is perfect with a gorgeous grain.
previous owner shot less than 10 rounds thru it. I've never fired these and bought them to
sell.

Also, what's a No. 1B??

Here in CT a dealer asks about $400 for most of them. Some models might go for $450.

A #1B is the standard model with a 26" bbl and regular forend.

I am going to sell my like new #1S in .300 Win Mag and I want $350. I don't think a dealer will give me more than $325 however. This is not for sale on the net, only to local dealers.
