Would anyone care to post pics of their s/steel, walnut stocked custom rifles here.
Have plans to do something like that but would love to see some completed firearms.

Cheers,
Mark.

The action used in this rifle is not Stainless it is titanium. Like Stainless, titanium does not blue. The barrel on this rifle is stainless as well.
The action of this rifle is Carbide Carbon Coated. The barrel is cera-koted.
The action design is based on the mexican m-98 with the addition of square bridges.
The complete rifle as pictured weighed in at 6 lbs 14oz. The use of the titanium action eliminates about a pound from the rifle weight.
Chambered in 7x57. This rifle was checkered after this photo was take and eventally sold to an Empire Rifles customer.

I actually prefer blued steel with walnut stocks, but sometimes it is just easier (e.g. depending on the components you decide to use), cheaper or simply more expedient to go the stainless route.

I had this Stiller Predator barreled with a Krieger in .308 Win. Since the action was only available in stainless, and since stainless barrels clean easier, I decided to keep it all in stainless. Serengeti stocked the rifle with what is basically a copy of the Sako "Hunter" stock.

Looks like hunt101.com is not responding at the moment. I really need to find myself a new picture posting site! Let's see if they come back up again, otherwise I'll think of a "Plan B".

Ah, just noticed you managed to see the pics after all. Seems like hunt101 service is somewhat intermittent...

Timan? All I can say is 'Gorgeous!!!'

More gunporn, more gunporn!!!! All I can do is to slobber like the blithering idiot coz I doubt I could ever afford such art. And I KNOW these rifles are meant to be used...but they are so beautiful that I would be afraid to take one out of the safe.

I have all the titanium M-98 actions formerly known as Taconic firearms LTD. Cambridge NY.
It was a new start up back in 97, he pulled the plug on it the spring of 98. I was one of five empolyees there. Before I left NY I asked that if he ever wanted to sell it to call me.
In the Spring of 2000 he called and offered it for sale to me, So I jumped on it and got it.
30 titanium actions 10 steel, prints, fixtures 3rd lug cutter, broaches.
I still have 13 titanium actions complete.
10 steel receivers that I'm going to make bolts and bottoms for. It's a good excuse for me make some Mex bottom metal for them.
