I wrestled around with a staggered feed action for awhile, never did get totally acceptable results.

The centerfeed action is another story. Use the WSM magazine box and follower, shorten the follwer up around a 1/2", add a Delrin ramp to the front of the magazine box attached with a 6-48 screw.

No receiver modifications whatsoever.

A short video of it running - three in the box.

So...can you fill up the clip, depress the top round and single feed one in the chamber?

Well - just discovered with the action screws tight it won't go three down and allow the bolt to overrun the top cartridge in the magazine.

May have to inlet the magazine well a bit deeper.

Started small just because the drill and tap were handy. I reckon I've fed 150+ through it now and haven't seen it move yet.

Makes for a little handier Indiana "Pistol Caliber Rifle" for whitetail now.

I have a Model 700 in 458 SOCOM; the EtronX model which is a BDL. I like your detachable magazine much better!
