Just picked up a Sako Forester 243...Wanted to know if I could convert it to a 300WSM..Is the bolt face large enough for the conversion???

Nope, too small.Get a used Win or Rem short action and leave the Sako as is.Nice rifles, I have three of them.

. . . and the magazine is too short. However, the orginal "short-fat", the .284 Winchester and it's wildcat decendants will fit in the L579 Sako. But if the gun is in good shape, it's much more valuable left original, especially if it's a pre-Garcia with a Bofors Steel barrel.
