Looks like I'm going to bed one of these darlings. It's suffering, poor grouping. I recall seeing some info on bedding the forearms of these rifles but don't remember any details. Any other information on how to tweak a #1 for accuracy would be appreciated. thanks, Pat

Pat Check out Arthur Brown Company. http://www.eabco.com They specialize in making Ruger #1's more accurate. I had them build one for me from a barreled action. It shoots awsome. They free float the forearm and put in a new barrel and trigger. The shape of the new barrels gets rid of any stress from the scope mounts. They have a 0 stress barrel seating process. I have 2 Ruger #1 and I am going to send the stock one in to be done as well. Check out all of the information their web site.

its not a hard job and has been detailed several times over. Just relieve the pressure on the barrel channel and glas bed off the hanger.
