any one here work on the triggers? What are some of your tricks for lightning up the pull?
I have one I can only get down to 4.5 pounds i would like to get it down another pound or pound and ahalf.

I have a agi video on it somewhere if you want to borrow it. Either you can go with a kit or it's mostly careful stoning. The kit was easier, drop in for me.

The easiest (and cheapest) way to reduce trigger pull is to install a Volquartsen hammer. It's a drop-in part and the improvement over factory is remarkable.

I have the trigger pretty smoth and it breaks like glass but it about 4 to 4 1/2 pounds,
i am trying to get it down to about 2 to 3 pounds using what it came with.
Whats so special about the volquartsen hammers?
I have been looking at diffrent parts and trigger groups and thought that i needed a challenge, thanks, Dave

You can get reduced weight springs also. It was so long ago I did mine I can't remember where though.

The Volquartsen hammer made all the difference on my International. While you have the receiver apart to install it you can put in the improved bolt hold open and a better magazine latch.

The Volkquartsen hammer has different geometry than the Ruger.

found this on 10/22 trigger jobs, went through it and did some more buffin on the contact surfaces and got down to about 3 3/4 to 4 pounds. I wont do the jb weld trick.

That's how I got started. Well that and some hand written instructions that I couldn't read very well. I used to use black electricians tape to hide scratches, but didn't want to be anywheres in the area when the barrel got hot. The black cloth type is great for masking scratches on the matte stuff and regular duct tape is great for stainess. You don't want to do a brushed finish on that stainless looking duct tape very much for fear of it shredding It wasn't until years later that I stumbled across "El Marko" gun finishing products. That was purely by accident. I accidently dropped the marker and it hit a gun barrel. I looked at the gun barrel and couldn't see where it hit, so that pretty much convinced me of that!

It's expensive but it's the best you can buy: the Kidd trigger. It will go down to just a few ounces. I have it in my component 10/22, and it feels better than sex...
