I need to recut (cleanout and sharpen) some old checkering on a couple stocks I'm refinishing. It has been so long since I have purchased any cutters I have forgotten what I used in the past. So any advice would be appreciated.

As usual just my $.02

I pulled out the envelope from my old one and it was simply a No1 one like you suggested. I guess I was making it too hard. I thought I'd remembered a discussion about different cutter angle. Darn swiss cheese memory again. Frowner
