I've picked up a Brown Precision fiberglass stock for a great price. Problem is my rifle is a 700ADL with the blind magazine and the stock is for a BDL with a opening for a floorplate. I checked on buying BDL bottom metal and was shocked by the cost.

Could someone offer advice on how to build a blind magazine box for this stock? Thanks

option a - buy new stock
b- buy used bottom metal
c- spend much time filling bottom with agriglass - shaping - painting entire stock, even then i'm not sure it will stay with out some kind of reinforcement.

Fanback, pick up a Brownells catalog and start digging, go past the $240 floorplates and bottom metal located in the front of the catalog. Now go to the Remington replacment parts section for 700 BDL and buy the original parts for about $75.

brownell's has a kit..

just call and ask for it.. it's cheapcheap
