You are referring to the model 22-F with round top receiver. About 40,000 22-F and 21-H Brnos were produced from the late 40's to the early 50's. The Redfield aperture sight is not original, nor are the holes drilled in the receiver to accommodate it, which diminishes its worth. The square bridge models introduced sometime around 1949 are generally more desirable than the round top versions which cannot accept optical sights without alterations. Full stock versions are in greater demand than half stock versions. These are high-quality rifles and very popular in 7x57. 95-98% finish guns bring about $700 and up if 100% original.

assuming that is one of the guns u described, to mount an optical sight is it a matter of custom bases or are there other issues? ------------------ The sole purpose of a rifle is to please its owner
