I bought a couple of Model 70's from him. They were accurately described.
One concern you may have is the originality of the finish. If the gun you buy has a collector's price, make sure it hasn't been altered from original. If you can't tell this on your own, I recommend a second opinion from a collector or dealer who is knowledgeable in Winchesters.

Anyone have a first hand account of dealings with this outfit?

He has a gun that I might be interested in, but thought I would try to get a reference or two before buying.

I aplogize if this doesn't belong in gunsmithing, but I wasn't sure where to put it.

Thanks,
Bob

I have sold him several rifles in the past. He is very pricey on his goods. I do not know of any shady dealings associated with him. Look around, I am sure you can find anything he has for a lot less elsewhere.

The "Original" pre 64 he sent me was a 100% redo.

He did send my money back.

One observation...Just how many pre 64's in original condition are left on the planet? How many does DR advertise?
