Like all of it except having the fiddleback forward of the pistol grip. Pretty gun though, and I'd guess the price is in the ball park. If yuro'e corseseyd and dsyelixc can you siltl raed oaky?

I guess I just don't understand people. Why would anyone go through all of the trouble and expense to have such a beautiful Rifle made, not fire it, and then sell it for half of what it cost. Just doesn't make sense. I wouldn't mind knowing who made that stock. it is nice looking, but a close study of the photos indicates that it was not made by one of the premier stockmakers of the day. No doubt, it is nice, but it is not as crisp looking as some you see.

The photo's are way too dark and lack definition to judge the work. Join the NRA

It is a very well done, nice looking rifle. It very likely may have been built by the guy who is selling it. I built a lot of rifles and sold them for less than i had in them. I used the money to buy parts and build more rifles. It was called practice. You can not hone your skills by reading books, only by doing. I did it also because I love to build guns. I have built stocks for free and have given rifles to friends as gifts. It is easier to start on another if the safe has some empty spaces.

I'm not sure about the left side of the receiver. Seller describes it as a lightening cut like the G33-40 but it looks to me like the entire left side of the receiver ahead of the thumb cut is milled away up to the ring. Hard to tell from the pic. Never seen that done before. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

I wouldn't shellout $2500 for it but if I built it I'd be very proud of it. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Look closely at the bolt shroud in picture #6 -- the action is a 95, not a 98. Eleanor O'Connor's 7x57 was on a 95, but I wouldn't put $2,500 into one today. Okie John "The 30-06 works. Period." --Finn Aagaard

Nice work, too bad it's a 95. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

It is pretty for the most part and I am not so opposed to the earlier actions. I'd build one but I woldn't buy someone else's. Doug, can you lighten the other side a little? The stock under the right side looks oddly shaped (picture 5). "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.
