Do anyone of you have any information you would like to share about the wff HEIN action?Their website is rifleactions.com.I was wondering if their actions are worth what they are selling for.$2,500.00.Is it a Dakota-class type of action?Specifically, the N-5 action for the 505 Gibbs.

i don't have any data, but you can get in on the intro price of the montana rifleman PH action.. it'll be a year, at least, but it'll be like 400 bucks jeffe
I had WFF HEIN build a .450 DAKOTA calibered rifle for me. (.416 Rigby brass opened to .458 caliber, 500 grain bullets to be fired) Synthetic stock, machined double square bridge, mercury recoil reducers, open sights from NECG, 4 in mag plus 1 in chamber, they even sent my barrel and stock to http://www.answerrifles.com. for Answer Products muzzle brake and Counter Force recoil pad in the middle of the building process. I'd love to have a chance to SHOOT THE THING!!! I have been so busy it gets me angry to think about it! I am very happy with it's looks and the way it feels in my hands, I expect it to be a very fine performing, straight forward rifle for african BIG FIVE hunting.

The rifle also has Talley Quk Dtch scope mounts and it wears a Leupold EUROPEAN model 1 X 4 scope, 4.5 inch EYE RELIEF instead of 3.5 inch eye relief the 1.25 X 4 SWAROVSKI has. It is BLUED but not the super shiney, nor is it Matte, I wanted it somewhere in the middle. As to pictures I am a computer IDIOT, so there's little hope of me ever figuring out how to do pictures, it looks like what you see on http://www.rifleactions.com and that says alot. I hunt for the experience most of all, and I shoot to prepare for and stay sharp for HUNTING, so I am NOT a LOOKS guy, I wish I could buy a SEARCY S X S rifle with zero engraving and a SYNTHETIC stock.

I know there is a lot of discussion about the Montana 1999 being to clunky, but come on a Ruger is clunky! I am still interested and considering a 1999 Montana, just a little in reserve right now. These HEIN actions are great!

I have a rifle being built by Hein. Stopped by the shop when I was over that way a couple of months ago. Was very impressed by the work being done there. Greg Hein was very knowledgeable, and showed me around the shop. The town is one of those blink and you've missed it places out in what looked like the bad-lands to me, and man, the mule deer! Jillions of them in huge herds at times. wayne

Add 2 lbs to a Ruger and voila! You have an MRC. I'm tellin' ya, look at one in the flesh first. You may think it is fine after that but if you don't, your screwed.

Not only are his actions amazing, buttalk about nothing to hide. He has a great webpage with everything about what he does and it is very well put together as his rifles seem to be also.

Karl Webber was my contact person at WFF HEIN. He was a good guy to deal with. The .450 Dakota cartridge called for HEIN"S largest sized action. If anyone uses my name with WFF HEIN as a reference I do get some sort of benefit on future rifle purchases. So if I have influenced you to make a purchase from them I'd appreciate the plug, and please send me a message that you are doing so. Ask for Karl and use my A R "handle" he knows who I am. Thanks to all,
Jack

I am in the process of building a 500 A-Square and will be using a Hein action for that project. Unfortunately I cant comment on the quality of their product as it will be a couple of more months before I have the action in my hands. I have had good dealings with the people at Hein both via email and phone throughout the order process.
