MRC Short Action Delivery

I just got off the phone with a very unhappy customer. So I thought I would take a minute to put in a new post to try to explain where we are in the short action deliveries.

As many of you know I placed a reply in a earlier string about our short actions that gave out the serial numbers of those actions we had already shipped. As many of you have also noted all of these actions were BSRM's. Stainless Steel, Right Hand, Magnum Actions.

In my list you'd notice that their were a lot of serial numbers missing. The reasoning for this was that they were not BSRM actions.

As I am sure most everyone understands that when doing manufacturing you run as many of the exact same thing as you can so that you don't have to do a new set up for something new. It just so happens that the BSRM's were the first in line so we had the machine shop run them first. See the serial number sequencing of the short actions below (I left a lot out, but just wanted everyone to get an idea of how they ran so you would understand).

B03-0001 P.E.C. BSRM
B03-0002 P.E.C. BSRM
B03-0003 P.E.C BSRM
B03-0004 K.D. BSRM
B03-0005 B.H. BSRM
B03-0006 J.A. BSRS
B03-0007 R.R. BCRS
B03-0008 D.E. BSRS
B03-0009 R.P. BCRM
B03-0010 D.S. BCRM
B03-0011 M.D. BSRS
B03-0012 G.V.B BSRS
B03-0013 L.C. BSRM
B03-0014 B.H. BSRM
B03-0015 B.H. BSRM
B03-0016 W.M. BCRS
B03-0017 W.M. BCRM
B03-0018 S.S. BCRM
B03-0019 S.S. BCRM
B03-0020 D.T. BSRM
B03-0021 D.T. BSRM
B03-0022 P.C. BSRS
B03-0023 T.S. BSRS
B03-0024 G.D. BSRS
B03-0025 J.M. BSRM
B03-0026 H.G.S. BCRM
B03-0027 H.G.S. BCRM
B03-0028 J.P.S. BSRM
B03-0029 T.C. BSRM
B03-0030 P.S. BSRS
B03-0031 P.S. BSRS
B03-0032 P.S. BSRS
B03-0033 P.S. BSRM
B03-0034 K.C.G. BCRS

You'll notice that the first 5 were BSRM then the next 3 were BSRS's and so on and so forth. We could not cost effectively have them stop after 5 actions to do a completely new set up. Doing so would have pushed the delivery of the actions even longer.

We are pushing to get every action out of here as soon as possible. Obviously the BSRM's are starting to ship, we expect to have the BCRM's, BSRS and BCRS within the next 2-3 weeks with the LEFT Hands following close behind.

I hope everyone understands the manufacturing process, but if anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask and I will answer them as quickly and honestly as I can.

Thank You

Dan

Dan

I got to see/inspect a long action stainless last week. Looks very nice. If the short actions are the same quality, folks will be glad they waited.

I don't have one ordered -- yet

trigger,
I can say from my own "unbiased" [Big Grin] opinion that those that hang in there and wait will find the wait to be well worth it.

Dan, I'm dying here! :-) It's like waiting for Santy Claus and the Easter Bunny all at once! What's worse is after my FFL holder gets it, I have a 10 day waiting period to sit through. I guess it will prevent me from going out in a fit of rage and shooting someone with a bare action.

fjold,
You must be in one of those "states" that require a 10 day waiting period. If you lived in Montana we could give it to you the same day it was ready [Big Grin] . I thought they have gotten rid of 10-15 day waiting periods except on handguns? Guess I was wrong.

Yep Dan, I'm in Communifornia. The Granola State, (what ain't fruit and nuts, is flakes). If it wasn't that I'm grossly overpaid for doing a job that let's me travel all over the world and gives me 5 weeks of vacation a year, I'd leave it.

:-)

Wow, a lot of activity on the MRC front of late! With all these actions going out, I guess we customers are getting a bit antsy... Hang in there guys, I know it is hard to wait, but Christmas WILL happen [Smile]

(Now let me see, when can I expect mine?? Hmmm, date of shipment from MRC, plus...., add X days for Swiss bureaucracy, ... US State Department... [Big Grin] )
