I was wondering if anyone has a picture or diagram of a disassembled Rigby style cocking piece sight like the ones I've posted here. Looks like it would be a neat project to build if I had something to work from.Thanks.

My understanding is that the top photo is Holland and Holland's version of the cocking peep sight. The lower is the Rigby version.

The top pic you posted is my photograph. Sorry, I don't have any dims for the sight though.

Before you make one, get some good measurements with your gun to your shoulder. I was at the Firearms Engragers Guild show in Reno a few weeks ago, and an Alaskan Guide said these things are great, and accuracy is good even though the cocking piece has a little horizontal slop... but
when either of use cycled the rifle while it was mounted at shoulder, the cocking piece smacked you right in the eye.

As he pointed out, the rifle will be even closer to your eye during recoil as any caliber of medium or larger will have thoroughly compressed your shoulder muscles and canted up a little as you draw the bolt back. If it's close while cycling empty, you'll get whacked cycling under fire.

Safe Hunting.
