I just moved to north western Wisconsin and looking foreward to meeting a few of you. If you'd like to chat over coffee and talk hunting I'm in for it almost any time.

I'm looking foreward to deer hunting and anything reasonable with a Labrador and a wirehair pointer.
Please PM me and lets have a chat over a cup of coffee somewhere.

Hey Vapodog,

I just got back to Texas after a week of bowhunting up in NW Wi. I didn't see the one I wanted but I'll be back in November for the rifle season.

What part of NW are you in? I grew up in the Iron River (Oulu) area and visit & hunt up there every chance I get. Enjoy your time there it is a great place.. Bruce

I'm over in Three Lakes, S and E of Eagle River in the Nicolet.

No hunting in WI yet this year, looking forward to the gun deer season. Just back from Quebec for moose, no moose this year.

The Kudu chase the deer to Minnesota where they are revered by the Minnesota Vikings.....you know the ones....the ones that are going down to the Packers big time this weekend!!!

Sorry.....I couldn't resist that.

Roger, Linies is spoken here and fluently. The only claim to fame of Chippewa Falls.

I'm a U/W grad and have had plenty of experiences with the infamous Linies. Maybe the finest brew in the US.....some will make that claim but regardless, it's a very fine beer.

Packer fans use a lot of it to wash away their sorrows most every Sunday afternoon.

Vapodog,

I also live near Hayward.

I always got those "does not play well with others" on my report card, but the medication seems to be helping a lot.

Who is paying for the coffee.....????

Jim

Thanks for the replys folks...I'm really overwhelmed right now as I have way too many things to do but will loosen up soon....The pups seem to be adjusting fine and I'm looking foreward to see how they perform on Ruffed Grouse......everyone here calls them partridge even though they're a grouse. Makes no difference.....eat darn good!!!

That's what the Linies is for.....Folks here call it "forget it" syrup. It's all good.....they play again at lambeau....it's then called the "get even" bowl. The only bowl either of them will see this season!!

One last question. Have you been able to figure out that Wisconsin Big Game hunting booklet yet?
The most complicated thing I ever read.
