What kinds of cartridges would a VZ24 have enough steel to build? 375 or 400 H&H? 400 Whelen? 404 Jeffery?

I had G&H build a 375 Weatherby on one about twenty years ago. If I had it to do again I would go with either a standard 375 H&H or the 400 H&H. The 400 H&H is a great cartridge. .

It could work for any of those cartridges since that is a standard large ring M98 action. Depends on what you are willing to spend to have it done. .400 Whelen would be the least alteration work. Followed by the H&H cartridges. The .404 Jeff arguably the most. .416 Rigby is not out of the question. Other options are the .375 Ruger, .416 Ruger, all of the Accurate Reloading cartridges, .458 Win and Lott, 9.3X62, 9.3X64, .375 Weatherby to name a few. Like I said depends on your budget and what kind of rifle you want in the end. Jeremy

Beyond opening the bolt face and a new bottom metal/magazine box for the H&H what would be required to make it work?

I built a 458 Win Mag. No issues.

Obviously my education has been neglected: what exactly are the Accurate Reloading cartridges?
