Dear all

I am going to build a rifle based on the Stiller Predator action (long with magnum bolt face).

Just to give me ideas I am looking for pictures of anyones rifle/rifles built on a Predator action.

The rifle will be chambered in 7mm Mag and I am thinking of something like a #3 non fluted sporter barrel but not sure yet.

Also what would anyone recommend for bottom metal? Stiller do mention that they are looking at making their own but not sure if they do yet.

Anyway any input and pictures very gratefully recieved.

Thanks

JB

Jon,
This is a couple photos of mine. It was a 300SAUM, with a Jewell trigger, Shilen Select match SS barrel, and a McMillan stock. It was teflon coated by Walter Birdsong.

It is a quality receiver and Stiller is good to work with. Something else to remember, Stiller makes more receivers than all the other custom makers put together if you leave out McMillan.
Got to be a reason for it.

Thanks Butch

Can I ask what profile of barrel you used? I am interested to see what a #3 (esp Pac Nor) would look like on the finished article.

Thanks

Jon

This one has a heavy#5 and is 26" long. I normally don't do that.

.308 Win on a short RH Predator action. Stocked by Serengeti in a Sako "Hunter" style stock.

If I did another, It would get a different bolt knob and handle. The stock one is butt ugly.

Yes the older handle and bolt are ugly, I dont even like the new style that much but it is threaded on so its easy just to make a new one any way I want and thread replace it. The tactical one is to big in diameter and to long for what I need, so I change that as well.

Stiller I think has about 3 bolt styles to choose from now, but i dont think hes doing the straight handle any more, probably just doesnt fit stocks made for remingtons
