Hi All!! Merry Christmas and the best wishes for the Holiday Season... I have a Browning Citory Plus Shotgun which have served me well.... While cleaning it , I noticed something in the Stock rattleing like a screw or something coming loose... I took it apart and noticed that there is a screw in plug cap which screws into the end of the recoil compensator , has backed out and dropped in the stock cavity.... I screwed it in place and noticed that the recoil system movement had tightened and as I screwed the plug in further , it became tighter and could not be moved in and out freely.. My Question ( Help Needed ) Can anyone tell me how much to tighten this plug in for the system to work correctly , and do I have to locktight it in place????? Thanks in advance , Cheers from the Rock!!!! Robert ( Newfoundlander )

Happy Holidays Robert! I adjust the plug 1/2 way into the recoil reducer because I like this feel with my current load (1oz, #8 @ 1350fps). I do not know if Browning intended it to be adjustable or not. The 1/2 seating depth gives enough thread bite and a softer recoil feel for me. I don't use a threadlocker because I adjust mine. I inspect mine every few thousand rounds. I know this isn't an exact answer but hope it helps. The Citori Plus is a fantastic shotgun.
