Gents:
I have seen many posts by Allen Day but it does not appear he has a publicly accessible profile. Does anyone have a contact or, if you see this Mr. Day, could you PM me as I have some questions to ask you.
Thanks.

TailgunnerQuestions to ask him, or us?
My daddy always told me "if you don't have something nice to say about someone, than don't say anything". I have nothing to say about Mr. Day

I disagree with Jorge on a few things.....Allen also for that matter.
But this isn't one of them. On both counts.

As you are aware, the AR Management posts banners quite often, including for religious and other holidays. During one certain holiday, which I believe was for Druids (sp), etc., Allen became upset and stated that he was leaving AR and would not return.
Allen was well liked by many on this forum, including myself. Many thought that he was sort of elitist because he owned a few rather expensive rifles made by D'Arcy Echols, and becasue he went on quite a few rather expensive hunts, but the way I always looked at it is if you work hard to earn your money you ought to be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
I for one wish he would come back and join us.

Actually, Jorge, the fella left over religion, and that's why he no longer posts here. It is CRTICAL in understanding why he left.

dempseyLeaving over the Druid/Wicken thing is as humorous as the posting of the observance at the top of the page IMO. I have a lot of other things is life to actually get upset over and I try and keep those to a minimum.

There isn't any gray area or misunderstanding by Jorge.
As a matter of fact, he posted more detailed information about the incident (and Allen) at the time than you just did.

My memory is a bit fuzzy but it tells me that one of the banners said Happy Winters Solstice Day on Christmas Day. Allen was offended and has not posted here since.

If there is one thing you are really good at here on AR, its finding stuff. (I mean that as a compliment). You could probably go back and find his post when he said he was leaving and see what date he posted it.
It's a damn shame nobody around here has a sense of humor anymore. I thought it was funny.

tiggertateNo kidding (pardon the pun). Seems the sense of humor around here is selective to the moon phase.

1894mk2I think when one has spent a certain amount of time on AR these posts are some of the best and funniest and give the best insight into posters as people.

Allan DeGrootAnd other than the april fool's day banner a couple of years past (don't mention it as I'm hoping Saaed uses it again)
I think the Wican/druid banner is the funniest.
BTW, I've been accused of BEING Allen Day, but sadly I am not him nor do I have his apparrent assets.
I share a first name (spelled differently) and the same last initial.
Oity it doesn't let me afford those expensive hunts...
