Hello everyone!
I am thinking of possibly rebarreling my Rem M700 22-250 to a .204 Ruger.
Am I going to have to change/get a different bolt cause the case heads are different sizes? Thanks.

well.....not axactly...

First off the .204 will not feed thru the .22-250 magazine...you'll have a single shot and there's nothing wrong with that.

your bolt can be altered at some expense to handle the .204 round and rebarreling will run you about $300

Personally, I'd just trade the gun for the one you want...it's a heeluvalot cheaper.

Brownell's has all the magazine parts to change over from 22-250 to the 204 ruger. You can get a new bolt from http://www.pacifictoolandgauge.com or good gunsmith will fix bolt face. Well good luck. Good luck.

Chuck

I'm with Vapodog on this. I think it will take more than the mag box follower and spacer to make your action work if you want a repeater. I believe the feed rails will be to wide. It won't be a problem to bush the bolt and make a single shot though. Maybe if someone has done this they will chime in on whether or not the rails will work. Good luck.
