I could be wrong but are the 1917 Enfield actions large enough to accomodate the .470 capstick. The reason I ask is that I think that I heard the these actions will take the .375 H&H, and the .470 capstick is based on this case. ------------------ | ||

Yes they will and the pattern 14" If memory is correct" chambered in 303 has the proper head sized bolt for standard belted magnum | |||

The first Capstick was a Hannibal, think Art made two of them, one for Capstick and one for himself. The Hannibals were made on P-14 Enfields. So, to answer the question, yes, you may build one on a Enfield, P-14 or P-17. Needs a new magazine, rail work, and the other usual modifications. | |||
