Sorry I had not seen your post earlier. Is what you are describing just a round post, like a rod, with a bead like a small BB on the top? And this is located off-center on a round turntable sort of base? For the weird stuff like this a pic helps a lot. Good luck on finding a replacement. Maybe try soldering a bead back on to it, or if you want it to just be useable make one out of JB Weld, since it is hooded it should be durable enough.

Mark, yes, yes, that's the one. It had a bead on a post but the bead is gone.

I'm going to take a closeup picture with my 35 mm, scan it and repost in the future. Meanwhile I've ordered a Numrich parts catalog.
