I am going to put a 12gauge rifled barrel (from Pac Nor) onto a 12g Greener Martini to build myself a slugger.

My question is to chamber it, what is the difference between a 12gauge rifled reamer and normal smoothbore reamer?

No doubt the pilots would be different but what else?

I see PT&G list both reamers for smoothbore and rifled, the reason for my question.

If i was able to use a normal smoothbore 12g reamer then i might be able to find one easier here in Aus instead of buying a new one.

Other than the pilot bushing, I don't believe there is any difference. The forcing cone will act as the throat to guide the slug into the bore.
