anybody every try bluing over damascening? was thing of doing a martini action like that. might be to gaudy but definitely different

I was thinking today about bluing over an engine turned bolt, extractor, etc.

At first blush I think it would be distracting on a large surface.

Mind you, my first car was a Plymouth Valiant.
