Hi there, As above but in 38/357 cal. Got the thing back from the gunsmith just before xmas to rework the lever assembly to stop multiple feeds. Went to load it then wracked it. Heard a small tinkling noise and noticed two bits of metal on the floor between my feet. Went to unload but couldn't drop the lever, locked tight. With a bit of fiddling, I managed to push down the bolt/locking assembly while working the lever and get the thing unloaded. The bits of metal were the lips from the lever assy that should have been holding the bolt assy in place, sheared off. I'm no Charles Atlas and this gun has fired maybe 200 rounds in its miserable life. Is this area known for failure or am I just unlucky?

Is this really a M-94..not a M-92? Is this an original Winshester or a clone? Obviously..you got a problem..How many gunsmiths in your part of the world are familar with either of these variants? Maybe other members can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Hi Duane, Thanks for the reply. As far as I know, it's a 94 as in M94AE. It was imported in the UK some time in 2002 I believe and has sat in a dealers gun room till I picked it up last year. I'm hoping to swap it out for a Marlin though now...
