The receiver I have is just too pitted to be used. Anybody have one in much better shape? Thanks

I recall the mod. 36s have that springfield cocking piece, they make and awesome custom rifle, Id like to have one of those actions.. The 1910 is a nice SR Mauser also..The best of the SRs is the G33-40 and the german customs carbine ( maybe mod. 35??) but its a G33-40 for all practical purposes..

I’m partial to the VZ-33, father of the G33/40.
