Is there anything that you can convert a 223 WSSM to other than a SSM? I have been able to locate a NIB Model 70 Classic in the caliber and I love the action length, just not the cartridge. Bushing the bolt face and rebarreling is a start, but I doubt there is enough left of the feed rails to hold thinner cartridges. I'd love to have a 6x45 or 47 or 300 Whisper and was hoping someone could tell me it could be done on this action without breaking the bank. If not, I'll just keep looking for a pair of project Riihimaki's. Thanks in advance. ______________________ Ken A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. --- Greek Proverb

Seriously, I think a 500 S&W would fit. Probably not what you want, but interesting nuntheless. A small largebore.

That's a shame, really would be nice to have a 223 length CRF Model 70. Oh, well, I'll look elsewhere. Thanks.
