Anyone know if this venerable firm is still in business? If so, anyone have a street or email address? Just bought a U.S. Krag sporterized by them, their name on the barrel, has a claw mounted Redfield variable 2-7x so I would guess rifle could have been built as late as the 1970s.

I have seen a number of Peter Longo rifles over the years..I don't know if he is still around or not...

Mark, about 1939 the name was changed to Mahrholdt & Sohn and the last address form a couple years ago is Saturnerstrasse (no number for some reason) Innsbruck, Austria.

Thanks Mike. Very strange for a US Krag to make its way to Austria to be sporterized, but quite a nice rifle nontheless. Have written to the German Gun Collectors Assn, maybe they will have some clue for me.
