Anyone have the barrel thread and tenon specs for the BSA "Majestic" and "Royal" models in .30-'06? An AR member asked me for them and I have them here somewhere, but have looked all day and can't find them...

TIA

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

1.115in major diameter, 12TPI, 'V' thread, according to Frank de Haas. ('Bolt Action Rifles' 3rd edition) He doesn't include any details about the thread form, but my GUESS is that it would be the 55 degree, Whitworth-type.

Thanks, RedRover -

I KNEW I had it here somewhere..... Checked my first edition de Haas, Otteson's volumes, several other sources...even tried "Googling" for it, but got zippo. And all the time, had a 3rd Edition de Haas sitting right here! Sure glad I didn't have to go through 10 years of American rifleman again, where I read it just a week or so ago (but didn't need it then....).

I think you are right about the Whitworth threads, as I recall from the last time I had one apart, more than a few years ago.
