My wife is wondering why I'm pointing a stock blank at the compter screen with a Cape Buffalo on it? [Eek!] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I love the way the grain is straight in the grip, but has lots of burl and tiger stripe in the butt.

Alvin, $200 plus $15 shipping.
HunterJim is American Walnut. I'm not sure how Robert at Watts graded it. To say the least I think I am going to be happy with it. Going to check with John Ricks tomorrow before the final OK.
Humbarger, wish we could hoist a pint and a low flyer to celebrate!

$200? I'd say you got a rather good buy on a beautiful piece of wood. I'm sure it will only look better when finished. Are you going to post pics when it's completed? I'd love to see how it turns out.

Rusty, you are going to enjoy that. It has so much more life and vitality to it than synthetics. You may have a to take a bit more care with it but it will be worth it.

Wait until your wife finds you with 4 or 5 blanks lined up by the TV and she notices that you are not watching the screen. You are on your way to becoming a certified wood junky.

Rusty,
Congrats on that piece of walnut! Certainly got a nice piece for a "friendly" price. Is that Claro, Am Black or ?
