I have been very happy with my .223 Remington in the Varminter style. Have had the rifle a couple years and it has been a sweet shooter since day one. Easily meets Cooper's accuracy guarantee of 1/2-inch 3-shot groups at 100 yds. I have not "had" to call the factory but did a couple times for load info and found them very pleasant and extremely helpful.

Don't think you could go wrong with them.

I have a friend who has one, and it's incredibly accurate.

Just be aware that the vast majority of Cooper Rifles are single shot (no magazine below the wood line).

I know someone who purchased one, not realizing that.

I've got a Montana Varminter in .243 AI and it's a very well made rifle, but the accuracy isn't quite what I had hoped for. It's going on the block this spring, hope I don't regret it!

Paulsbo,
If you live near the town of Paulsbo, there are several Cooper rifles, new, and for sale on the wall in DJs in Bothel.

I know people who own a total of 14 Coopers. One had an accuracy problem that was related to his loads and Cooper helped him figure that out. One had some mechanical problem and Cooper fixed that very quick. All of these folks have bought more Coopers and are very pleased with the out of the box accuracy.

Personally, I don't like the way the bolt handle
sticks out from the stock.
