I have a rifle that takes a M700 trigger, and the trigger is within an 1/16" of the back of the trigger guard. I need a trigger that has the pull 1/4-1/2 in further forward. I'm afraid of gunk getting between trigger and guard, and could use a little longer reach for my finger anyways. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dan

You might try a trigger made for the Rem. 600 or 660. If I recall the trigger is set forward on the trigger frame. Hope this helps, Marcos (elalto)

Elalto is right. The only part that is different between the 700 trigger and the 600 trigger is the part you touch with your finger. I have two of them apart right now on my bench. I converted a M600 to work in a Model 7 stock and had to replace the trigger. If you open up a Remington trigger you will be amazed when you see the parts inside. I am surprised the stamped out POS parts work. RELOAD - ITS FUN!

And they have been doing so for almost 60 years!

OMJ, They may appear crude, but they work. Sorry, these parts aren't for sale. I may get another M600 that needs a trigger, or an XP100 that I can make a rifle out of. RELOAD - ITS FUN!
