Are the action rails of an M70 WSm reciever too wide for the 6.5mmRemMag case?

Seems to work. I tried some 6.5 RM empties in a 7mm WSM Classic. It held four down but that first one jammed at the belt. With three down it fed well from the right and ok from the left. Remember this is with no bullets in the necks.

Savage99,
thanksfor your effort, shows promise.Theres just something that appeals to me about that 6.5RMcase.Would benice to have one necked to 7mm or .30cal,but even the original is fine.

I have the 6.5RM's around as I made up a .224" wildcat on the case.

Mine headspaces on the shoulder and so can yours.

Just design the reamer that as to clear the belt.

My wildcat's barrel is now in "storage". It was fun while it lasted.

Check out the latest Reloader magazine. They detail a wildcat based on the 350 RM put into a WSM action. They seemed to have very good feeding with it.
