Can someone explain to me the difference between a Remington Model 7 and a Remington Model 722? Thank you.

The 722 is the same rifle action as the 700 short action Remington with a little different bolt handle, extractor and trigger.

The Model 7 is an updated 600 Rem action which itself was a repeater version of the XP-100 pistol action. The M7 magazine is the same length as the 722 but the receiver bridge is shorter. This results in a shorter action than the 722.
